What is a Concierge?
Concierge is French for
keeper of the candles, evolving from comte des cierges. In feudal times, the keeper would light the candles in the
castle and tend to the visiting noblemen's needs. The term evolves still, from keeper of the keys and caretaker of apartments
to that famously helpful person near the front desk of the finest hotel.
Concierge has now come to stand for a person or service that can not only look after the homefront while
you are away, but tie up all those loose ends for you while your are home or at work.
